October 6,2007  was THE DAY we’ve all been waiting for, its was a mix feeling of tension and excitement . Questions like “ Will there be a typhoon ? “ “ Will the gym be at least half filled ?” Will the other batches come ?” Yes, the pressure was so intense.

And THE DAY came,  it was noontime when the rain poured heavily for an hour and just imagine the assembly time for motorcade was 1;30 PM , God was so good the sky cleared up on time .And the alumni started showing up by groups with their colorful T–shirts proudly identifying their batches. The whole stretch of Rizal Ext St was filled with alumni eagerly putting batch posters and yellow balloons in their respective cars. Everybody was in a festive mood . The motorcade  was sooooo long  it must had caused traffic for awhile. Then right after the motorcade, everybody went straight to the church for the Mass , the homily of  Father Miranda really brought back the good old days ,everybody had a good laugh remembering our student life in DWAD. Mirienda was served after the mass.

Then came the MAIN EVENT , DWAD Alumni Grand Homecoming . The registration went on smoothly with every batchmate obligedly fill up the form , tables were assigned for
each batch.  Program started at around 7:00pm. We were so overwhelmed by the attendance and the full support of our schoolmates from every batch. You can just see it in their faces the thrill, the smile and the excitement
to meet not just their classmates but also to greet  other batches  and not to forget to glimpse again their HS crushes (oopps ) . “ Do you still remember me, ako si _____ “ “Ikaw na ba yan?”  “ Yes, I still remember you” “ yan yung crush ko noon “ were probably the most used  phrases that night !!!Mr Edmund Tangco,Batch 71 and attaché to Taiwan, gave an inspirational speech, ang galing mag mandarin, I am impressed ! The highlight that night was the video presentation prepared by each batch, and everybody really cheered and applauded while showing those old pictures . But my personal choices for the best video presentations were Batch 85, batch 79, batch 71 and Batch 81 (of course) . A dance  and a song number were also presented by Batch 73 ( with Father Cris ) and Batch 75 . A stand up comedian entertained the alumni which was sponsored by Batch 79 courtesy of Nelson Sotto and Andrew Tan. The 10 Outstanding Alumni were also given recognition. Finally, every batch nominated a representative for our alumni association . So, should I say, we have achieved almost everything this reunion was set for .It was an unexpected huge attendance and surprisingly a BIG SUCCESS. Everyone went home with big SMILE . And that’s the most important factor ,everybody was HAPPY.
 
Batch 73 will be in charge for the next reunion, and I am sure and confident that it will be a much bigger crowd. We love to see more balikbayans and batches 1990s and up. Noticeably absent were the former mentors.Only Miss Concesa Rapacon, Mrs Lozano ,Mrs Teng and Mr Javier were present .  Where were they , by the way? 

To all of us,,,,,CONGRATULATION FOR A JOB WELL DONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS

This MTV will be shown during our upcoming DWAD Golden Jubilee Alumni Homecoming on October 6, 2007.  Kudos to our Batch 81 classmates (esp. Josie, Mitz, Jean, Teng, Ruel, Gem, Mona & others) who volunteered in different committees  and helped organize everything to make this event happen. Mabuhay Kayong Lahat !!!!
